Patna: Special Task Force (STF) The National Police Headquarters arrested three people, including ‘Desertter’ Security Force (BSF), and recovered eight illegal weapons as part of two separate operations in Arwal and Patna District on Thursday.
In the first operation, the STF team along with Armed Police Armed District intercepted cars from where they found two regular rifles, pistols and 460 live cartridges.
A police officer stf told this reporter by telephone released by two people by car, which introduced himself as Jai Pukar Rai and Anand Pandey, arrested after they failed to produce relevant documents to carry weapons with them.
Jai, a Bahanpur under the Shahpur Police Station area in the Bhojpur district, claimed that he worked with BSF.
“The credentials are now being verified,” the police said.
In other operations, a weapon dealer, identified as Subhash Pradhan, was arrested from Shiv Shakti Nagar under the Bihta Police Station area in Rural Patna.
The gun, four Comignaade pistols and six rounds of ammunition were confiscated from ownership.
