BSL expansion plan to revive local additional units

Bokaro: The Bokaro Streel Plants (BSL) said it planned the expansion of the project, which in turn would revive the supporting industry units formed under Jharkhand Industrial Development Authority (JIAADA).
BSL Director Amarendu Prakash announced plans on Saturday, which was well received by industrial units located in the Baldih area and will go through a bad phase due to lack of work orders from the public sector unit over the past few years.
Speaking at the 49th meeting of the Plant Level Committee, which was formed for the formulation of BSL coordination and policy with local additional units at Niwas Bokaro here on Saturday, Prakash also said several units from Jiada have significantly improved the quality of their products.
Regional Director Jiada Kirtishree said, “The issue associated with additional units such as fixation of prices of 14 items, a good delay receipt (GRN), timely payment and appointment of nodal officials by BSL, etc., discussed at the meeting.
The response from the Director-in-Charge BSL is positive.
He convinced cooperation in everything.
” A businessman, Shailendra Pandey, who attended the meeting, said, “BSL management not only gives patients to hear with the problems faced by additional units but also respond positively.
We hope the situation will improve in the coming days.
” The source said the blueprint for the expansion of the BSL project was almost ready.
The parent company, Steel Authority from India Limited (Sail), works on increasing BSL production capacity from the current 4.5 mtpa to 14 MTPA 2030.
Working at the first stage of expansion is expected to begin at the beginning of 2023.
