Bokaro: Ahead of the approaching monsoon, the district government asked Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) to examine the state of the homes in its own township and also take up fix functions to prevent accidents.
Sources stated deputy commissioner Rajesh Singh delivered a correspondence to BSL on Friday evening in this respect.
Throughout cyclone Yaas, allegedly, staircases of three divides residential blocks from the township were ruined.
Although no injury happened, the episode grabbed eye of the district government.
Frequently, many citizens complain about the inadequate upkeep of specific part of quarters at the township.
BSL township has 10 industries where over three lakh folks reside.
A number of these residential buildings at each one of the industries required maintenance and repairing.
During monsoon or rain, the subsidence of roofs or even staircases is a frequent occurrence.
BSL’s main of communicating, Manikant Dhan explained the civil division has identified 32 residential cubes in various industries and taken up fixing and maintenance jobs.
“As a result of semi lockdown and Covid-19, fixing actions were postponed but today it’s being performed on a war-footing before monsoon,” he explained.
