Prayagraj: In a unexpected step, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) on Sunday announced Qadir Wash as a new candidate from the West Allahabad assembly chair.
He will file his nomination on Monday.
BSP previously announced Lallan Singh Patel as a candidate from the West Allahabad assembly chair.
Abhishek Gautam, the Chairperson of the Responsible Sector (Prasagraj Mandal) told TII that the Party had announced Wash Qadir as a new candidate from the West Allahabad assembly segment after analyzing the political scenario and the caste equation.
He further added that there were more than 80,000 Muslim voters in the assembly segment of West Allahabad and there were no political parties that had reduced Muslim candidates until now.
Gautam was then added “of a total of 28 assembly chairs that fell under Prayagraj Mandal including 12 of Pratagraj, seven in Pratapgarh, three in Kaushambi and six in the district of Fatehpur, BSP has provided tickets to 12 Brahmana, and one Muslim, and one temporary patel Chairs are provided for SCS “.
He further added that the party had distributed tickets among all casteites after seeing their strength in terms of voters in certain assembly constituencies.
