Thiruvananthapuram: APJ Abdul Kalam Technology University, on Tuesday, announced the results of the BTECH engineering exam from the collection of three students.
The percentage of graduating 51.86 was a record, which rose 5% compared to last year’s figure.
VC MS University Rajasree announced the results.
The first semester class for batches has been started in August 2017 and for the third year in a row that the University announced the results without pausing.
Batch 2017 starts with 32,525 students in 23 engineering branches.
Of these, 28,424 students from 144 technical colleges have emerged for the last year’s exam; 2,052 Students come out or switch to other courses in various periods.
Also, 1,061 has taken a one-year study break and 988 shifted to a lower semester.
Of the 28,424 students who emerged for the last year’s exam, 14,743 had passed, said university authorities.
The percentage pass in 2019, 2020 was 36.5% and 46.5%, respectively.
The government, assisted by the government, self-controlled self-financing, private self-financing universities recorded a percentage of graduating from 68.08, 72.77, 55.46 and 46.02.
Among the main engineering discipline, the highest percentage of the pass was seen in the electronic branch with a percentage of graduating from 53.4.
The percentage pass in civilian, mechanical, electrical and computer science respectively 49.38, 37.2, 42.68 and 52.5 respectively.
Girls are more successful compared to boys because the percentage of pass among girls aged 65.57 compared to 42.97 by boys.
Of the 939 students from SC and ST, 262 (27.9%) cleared the exam; 570 of 1,914 students (29.78%) in the lateral entry entry category.
Of the 144 universities affiliated with universities, 35 colleges have NBA accreditation.
Of the 15,242 students who appeared for this college examination, 9.508 students passed.
The success rate is 62.38, which is 10.5% higher than the country’s average.
Honor Btech of 14,743 winners, 3,008 (20.4%) students qualify for BTECH HONOURS degree; 350 students from Kollam TKM College of Engineering, 117 Kothamangalam Ma College, 116 of Rajagiri College, 113 from Jyoti’s charity and 104 from government universities, Thrissur graduated with Honors’ degree.
Btech’s degree was given to those who got 182 credits in eight semesters.
However, Honors BTECH is given to students who get a value above eight to fourth semester, and then get 12 additional credits by studying four additional subjects, including two online courses, without losing one subject to eighth semester.
