“We topped HOT100 chart with Butter for two weeks straight!” said an ecstatic BTS as they celebrated their huge achievement on social media.
The K-Pop stars made a smashing debut on the Billboard HOT 100 music charts last week on the number 1 spot and continued their reign for the second week.
The boys beat out the likes of Olivia Rodrigo, Dua Lipa, Silk Sonic, The Weeknd and Ariana Grande, among others including Justin Bieber.
Not one to leave their loyal ARMY out of the celebrations, the boys continued in their post, “Thank you again, #BTSARMY.”

Thanking their fans for their support in achieving this milestone, the boys also used the hashtag ‘Got Army Behind Us’ which is a lyric from their song ‘Butter’.
The song, that is their second English-language track, has proved to be the flavour of the summer.
The song became their fourth track to hit the number 1 spot on the Billboard charts.
Last year, the group topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart with ‘Dynamite’, a remix of ‘Savage Love (Laxed – Siren Beat)’, and ‘Life Goes On’, the first song performed primarily in Korean to debut in the top spot.
“We’re happy and honoured that the song reached No 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 again.
We wouldn’t have gotten our fourth chart-topping song without everyone’s love and support.
Thank you for enjoying ‘Butter’ and we will keep working hard to deliver refreshing and passionate music,” BTS said in a statement on their hitting number 1 last month.
Meanwhile, RM, V, Jin, J-Hope, JungKook, SUGA and Jimin made headlines last week when an entertainment news website, harshly criticised the band and their fans – ARMY, for rendering the music charts “useless”.
In the article that went viral, the site debated to prove their assertion.
The report also went on to accuse ARMY of working untiringly to excite BTS music, as it happens for 6ix9ine and Travis.
It also pointed out that ‘Butter’ only topped the Billboard charts based on sales of discounted digital singles, despite not being very popular in America.
