Coimbatore: The University Teachers Association (AUT) has urged the University of Bharathiar to declare the trial period of 65 faculty members who have joined the University in 2016.
The trial period should have been declared in 2018 for 65 faculty members who joined November 296 which joined 296 Assistant Professor, Professor Associate and Professor.
President of President P Thirunavukkarasu said the University had quoted a delayed investigation of alleged irregularities in the selection process.
There were such accusations during past recruitment too, but such teacher trial times were stated.
The process has been postponed only in this case.
The university has refused to declare the trial period even though there was a direction from the High Court.
“We even wrote to the main minister who was looking for directions to the university to declare the trial period of staff,” he added.
They should be used as a permanent staff of the University now.
