Rangaswamy, who holds a financial portfolio, served a tax-free crore budget Rs 9,924.41 on Thursday.

The area must fulfill the remaining allocation of Rs 1,684.41 Crore from open market loans and loans from central financial institutions.
Rangasamy shows that most of the financial resources will be used to meet committed expenditure.
The government will distribute Rs 2,140 Crore (21.56%) for salaries, Rs 1,050 Crore (10.58%) for retirement and RS 1,715 Crore (17.28%) for loan and interest payments and RS 1,591 Crore (16.03% ) For electricity purchases.
Other major expenses include retirement old days and allied welfare steps from RS 1,290 Crore (13%) and grants-in-assistance for public business sector, local agencies, cooperatives, and community-running higher education institutions from RS 1,243 Crore (12.52%).
The total debt of the Puducherry Union area on March 31 this year stood at RS 9,334.78 Crore, which was 22.17% of GSDP (2020-21) both in FRBM norms.
Rangasamy said the average growth rate of GSDP from the Union region was established by around 10% as a national growth average of 7% to 8%.

He said the government had also proposed to establish a 500 bed hospital in Gorimedu to treat various epidemic infectious diseases.
Praising the sacrifice of health workers and the forefront of tackling Covid-19, he said, the government had allocated an additional fiscal year 25 crore to overcome the Covid-19 pandemic.
