New Delhi: The top congressional leaders on Friday decided to cooperate with like-minded parties together during the budget session of parliament which will come together to raise public interest issues, including the problems of farmers and border disputes with China.
This was decided at a meeting of the Congress parliamentary strategy group chaired by the Party Chief Sonia Gandhi.
The meeting was held in virtual and it was decided to increase the distress of farmers problems, border disputes with China and an aid package for victims of Covid.
Party has demanded a compensation package for the families of the victims Covid.
Congress also decided to increase the sales problem Air India to Tata Group, in addition to India’s economic decline and high prices of essential commodities.
Congress Strategy Group of the Parliament headed by the Congress Party Chairman of Parliament Sonia Gandhi and including the leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge and Congress leader in Lok Sabha Adhir Ranja Choudhary, leader of the senior AK Antony, Anand Sharma, Gaurav Gogoi, Gaurav Gogoi, K Suresh, Jairam Ramesh and Manickam Tagore.
Party MP Manish Tewari also attended the meeting.
Although former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is also a member of the group, he did not attend the meeting.
The meeting was called before each session of parliament to decide the party’s strategy.
Budget session of parliament began on January 31 with the address of the President to jointly sit at home.
Union budget will be presented on February 1.
