New Delhi: Gir Somnath on Saturday reported the success of the birth of this buffalo type through IVF technology.
It follows the birth of India’s first batch of the type of buffalo ‘murrah’ who undergo IVF (fertilization in vitro) at a farm near Pune last year.
Success will help in increasing the wealth of livestock from the territory lacking water.
Unlike the general type of India such as ‘murrah’ or ‘jaffarabadi’, Breed ‘Banni’ is considered a climate act.
Buffalo as it can survive from a hard climate including water scarcity.
“IVF ‘Banni’ Calf first was born of six ivf pregnancies ‘Banni’ which was established on the doorstep of the farmer’s door, Vinay L Wala from Sushila Agro Farms, located in Dhanej in Somnath District of Gujarat,” said the farm and fiders in a statement .
Ovum pick-up (Opu) and the aspiration process for IVF Buffaloes Buffalo was planned in December last year.
