Builder jumps from transferring SUVs to escape from kidnapping, 2 booked

Rajkot: Almost a week after a builder jumped from a Moving SUV to save himself from the kidnappers who hugged him in the knife-point, the police filed sand against two people on Sunday after the vehicle was found left in Rajkot.
Based on the complaint submitted by Builder Ankur Kakadiya (23), the police ordered Ravirajsinh Jadyja, a resident of Pipardi Village Jamkandora Taluka and its aide for kidnapping, criminal conspiracy, intimidation and other parts of the Indian Criminal Code (IPC).
According to the complaint registered at the Rajkot Taluka Police Station, Kakadiya has booked an advertisement on the online market portal to sell the car.
Jadeja approached him last month and had asked for detailed cars.
On February 1, Jadeja along with his aide came to see the SUV at the Kakadiya construction site at Mavdi Road.
Duo defendants asked for a test drive and Kakadiya also went with them.
“While Jadjea drove a SUV, his aide slapped Kakadiya and put a knife on his neck before grabbing his cellphone,” said D V Kahmbhla, Sub-Inspector of the Rajkot Taluka Police Station.
However, Jadyja drove a SUV on a high seed, when it slowed because of a lump on the road near the village of Par about 10 km from Mavdi, Kakadiya jumped out of the vehicle to save himself.
He received a minor injury because of the fall, police said.
A few minutes later, when Kakadiya called his cellphone at the other end to say that he found the phone was left near the village of Ravki.
Kakadiya approached the police who found the car left near Punitnagar in Rajkot.
Police said that the defendant was still large.
