Gurgaon: The cargo company manager whose worker lives in the building that collapsed on Sunday night was arrested on Tuesday.
On Monday, the owner of the building, the Ravinder Kataria, and cargo company manager, Krisha Kaushik, had been booked under 68 years (negligent behavior in connection with attractive or repairing buildings), 304 (II) (guilt murder) and 34) and 34 (intention General) IPC at the Farrukhnagar police station.
“The manager has been arrested and sent to prison,” said Police spokesman Gurgaon Subhash Bolen.
Three people were killed and one person was injured when a three-story building in Pataudi fainted on Sunday night.
On Tuesday, the district government formed a three-member committee to investigate the incident.
The team collected samples from the site and they have been sent to the Laboratory of the State Public Works Department (PWD) to be examined.
Minister of Manohar, Chairman of Manohar Lal Khattar has announced compensation for each RS 2 lakh from a Relief CM fund for families of the three men who died.
The injured person will get Rs 1 Lakh, officials said.
Pataudi’s sub-division officers, Junior PWD (bridges and roads), Farrukhnagar, and Pancayati Sub-Division officers Raj are in the probe panel.
They will check the design, strength and stability of the building, the material used for its construction and maintenance, among others.
The committee will submit a report based on the next action will be taken, the official said.
Pataudi’s sub-division judge Pradeep Kumar said the deputy commissioners had ordered a master’s investigation.
“We have established a three-member committee to investigate this case.
The team has begun work and the sample has been collected from the site for the test,” he said.
Pataudi Mla Satya Prakash Jarawta said: “We have updated cm about the incident and he has announced compensation.”
