Sofia: Bulgarian parliament on Monday officially approved the government led by the new government in the country in an effort to restore stability, overcoming the Coronavirus crisis and spurred economic development in the poorest UE member state.
Parliament members chose 134-104 to choose Kiril Petkov 41 years as prime minister.
In separate voting, the legislator also approved the cabinet – the coalition between anti-corruption Petkov we continued the party change (PP) and three other left and middle-right-right wing groups.
Together, the PP Party, the Bulgarian Socialist Party Leftist, Anti-Elite, there are people, and the Bulgarian Liberal Democratic group, will control 134 seats in the 240 parliament of Bulgarian seats.
Petkov, a Harvard educated entrepreneur who served as Minister of Economy in the previous Caretaker Cabinet, announced that transparency in public spending, zero tolerance for corruption and reforms in the judiciary would be the key stone of the government program.
He also promised to keep Bulgaria on the pro-Europe and pro-NATO lanes.
“What we will improve is not our money, but from all Bulgarian residents,” Petkov said, and urged the legislators to provide their support so that once and for all countries it would have an effective justice system.
” Another priority of the new government includes dealing with demographic crises, increasing cost of living and increasing the slow level of coronavirus vaccination.
7 million countries have one of the most quickest populations in the world, and the highest income inequality and the lowest level of Covid-19 vaccination in the European Union 27 countries.
“I believe that after four years Bulgaria will be a different place,” Petkov said after presenting a government program.
