The bulldozer has worked around him.
At 4 pm on Saturday, he also heard a commotion.
When he stepped out to check, it was not another Bulldozer, but a water tanker who had just arrived at Khori, triggered a typhoon as a village resident in line, bucket at hand.
Bulldozers rested in Khori on Saturday because the demolition was stopped to make the rubble to be cleaned.
But after repeating the appeal from residents, the water tanker has walked to the village.
Their houses ended, many villagers lived in Khori for debris to be cleaned.
While some of them are looking for debris to find their items, others sell stems, bricks and other construction materials to make money.
Although the Corporation Municipal Faridabad (MCF) has made arrangements for food and shelter on the Radha Soami Satsang Beas campus in Surajkund – 1.5 km away – many villagers do not want to leave Khori because they are still looking for their belongings in debris.
The villagers have asked for food and water to be given to them at Khori themselves, but the authorities felt they would encourage them to stay in the village.
After repeating a request for drinking water, a tanker finally arrived at Khori around 4pm on Saturday.
Within minutes, villagers have formed a queue that is not orderly for water.
“Forget food, we don’t even have drinking water in this hot heat.
Tankers who come today can be arranged with a lot of trouble.
The authorities cannot eliminate us with basic food and water needs like this,” said Singh.
For Vimless Sharma and several others, going far to the Radha Soami campus for food and water is not an option.
“Authorities have made the announcement that we can go to Surajkund for food and shelter.
But we have our items in the midst of debris.
How can we leave whatever is left for us to collect?” Sharma asked.
On Saturday, 264 villagers have ledged to be registered for rehabilitation in the Flat EWS.
“About 300 people came to the Radha Soami campus to have food.
We cannot provide food and water in Khori Village.
It will make it difficult for the authorities to carry out demolition,” said Vikas Sharma, Secretary of the Red Cross community in Faridabad.
The MCF has collaborated with the Red Cross Society to provide temporary food and residence for residents of Khori Village.
Meanwhile, demolition must be stopped at Khori on Saturday because the mountain debris makes it difficult for the bulldozer to move forward.
The Supreme Court has ordered the demolition of 10,000 homes that have been illegally built on Aravali forest land.
“Demolition’s encouragement must be stopped on Saturday.
Debris need to be cleaned first,” said a MCF official.
The villagers said they had been permitted by officials to sell some of the construction materials for the dealer memo before the area was cleaned.
On Saturday, residents do it.
“We don’t have anything left.
At least, we will get money by selling old metal rods and other ingredients,” said a village resident.
The MCF team installed a ownership board in various parts of the village on Saturday.
The Board said that land in Khori was owned by the MCF.
Commissioner of the city of Garima Mittal cannot be contacted for comments even though it repeatedly.
