Noida: Delhi-Varanasi bullet train project seems to get momentum quickly.
Officials of National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) has held a preliminary discussion with GB Nagar Administration for the requirements of land for two stations that will fall in the district – one in the Noida 144 sector and the other at one-run airport terminal.
Officials said that a total of 160.81 hectares of land would be needed from GB Nagar for the Delhi-Varanasi Railroad Railroad Corridor (DVHSR).
From the required land, only 60.19 hectares must be obtained from farmers in accordance with the 2015 government mandate.
This is because the remaining land belongs to the state government.
“The preliminary assessment meeting with NHSRCL officials was held during the weekend in Noida, which was also attended by the Department of Forest and Public Works,” said the Additional District Judge in Singh to Tii on Monday.

Meanwhile, a team from DVHSR who has studied its social impact on the area in the initial assessment that around 1,240 Neem, Papaya and Karanj (species in the bean family) fell on the corridor line.
However, there was no decision taken on the demarcation of an alternative area for the relocation of trees to be cut for the project, officials said.

The study will also assess the population and footsteps of traffic in the region.
Detailed project reports are expected in August-September.
Meanwhile, the corridor that is elevated for bullet trains will be made at a height of 9-10 meters.
The train will use a soundproof tool with aerodynamic design.
While the first stop from Sarai Kale Khan Delhi near Nizamuddin Station will be in the Noida 144 sector, the second stop in this district will be in Jiwar.
