Pune: Last week, Pune rural police moved to stop the illegal bull train race, involving a crowd of more than 200 people, in a village in Shirur Taluka and registered a case against the committee.
The race, however, is not the only example of its kind in the past.
The decision of the 2014 Supreme Court which banned Bullock train races and Covid-19 restrictions since March last year did not prevent people in Ambegaon, Shirur, Junnar and Khed Talukas villages in Pune.

Pune rustic supervisor from Police Abhinav Deshmukh said 22 organizers had so far been held this year.
“Similar arrests were made for the previous two years and, in some cases, notifications were issued for organizers,” he said.
