Kolkata: Young couple – Talking sweet, friendly and friendly – has deceived taxi driver applications in various ways after anesthetizing them in and around Kolkata since September 12.
Just like bunty-babli pairs, couples have used innovative methods to cheat money from their victims.
Police scan CCTV recording to identify the duo that has so far avoided it.
In 11 days, the couple had calmed at least three drivers in three commissioners.
The drivers had woken up in hospitals two days after being sedated, only to find their belongings disappear and their car was broken.
The police have registered three cases between September 12 and September 23.
The couple scans the victims and called for their relatives after anesthetizing them.
“They asked for relatives to send cash to the accounts of the victims who claimed they had met the accident.
They said they would use the driver’s ATM card and withdraw money to pay to the hospital.
They were unsuccessful but the three opportunity efforts were identical,” said a person Investigator.
The Mohd Shahnawaz Cab driver was contracted for six hours from Nagerbazar on September 14.
He barely reached Lake Town when he was offered a cold drink by a couple.
Shahnawaz said he did not remember what happened next.
He found himself at Dum Dum’s hospital two days later.
More than RS 2,500 lost from his wallet.
“The car was damaged and parked in the nearest area,” said an officer.
The same thing happened with Abhijit Ghosh who had reached Ultangga on September 21 and told his family that he had picked up young couples and headed south.
His cellphone has been turned off since then.
He finally traced to Baghajatin Hospital on Thursday.

Ghosh told the police he was offered a juice on the road.
The third similar incident occurred on September 12 when the other application taxi drivers picked up young couples from Kamalgazi.
The police have now issued a warning to the driver to avoid receiving food from passengers.
“Security will be the main area here,” said an officer from the Diamond Harbor Police District.
