Coimbatore: The city police arrested a habit thief and seized Rs 2.7 lakh from him on Wednesday.
The person arrested, Pandian, 42, from Okkur Village in Sivaganga District, said theft throughout the state, police said.
“Pandian used to work as a cook and stay with his family in a rented house in Puni.
He told us that he lost his job during a pandemic and used the theft,” said a police officer told toi.
