Rajkot: The thief targets the house of a customs supervisor in Jamnagar and steal cash and jewelry worth Rs 240 Lakh.
Soujit Sinha’s house was broken down when he and his family visited their original place in Patna, Bihar.
Sinha, who lives with his family in the Mehulnagar area in Jamnagar, stated in his complaint that in November last week he and his family went to Patna for social functions.
He got a call from his landlord Vimal Joshi on November 29 that the key to his house was broken.
Joshi also told the police on the same day.
Upon returning to Jamnagar on Sunday, Sinha registered a complaint with the D division police station which stated that gold jewelry included two Mangsutras, eight earrings, three rings, pendants, and valued chains at Rs 2.10 Lakh.
He also added that the total theft including cash was around Rs 2.40 lakh.
