Burn Ward, 24×7 Care: Hospital and Health Center are invited to Diwali

Gurgaon: The Hospital and Primary Health Center in all Gurgaon are under the instructions to remain vigilant during Diwali on November 4 and treat cases with priority, the health department said on Tuesday.
Sub-division hospital has made a list for doctors at Burn Ward to ensure patients receive care throughout the night Diwali, the department added.
In addition, the ambulance will be ready to attend the patient.
Cases of burns increase in diwali compared to the rest of this year.
“Sector 10 civil hospitals, government hospitals in Sohna and Pataudi, and all primary health care centers (PHCs) in Gurgaon are under the instructions to set Burn Ward to ensure that all patients get direct medical assistance,” said Dr.
Virender Yadav, Head of Medical Officer, Gurgaon.
The standard medical procedure for burnt patients is keeping them in the room with a temperature set, preferably AC space with the right ventilation facility.
Diwali also leads to increased respiratory problems, according to the doctor.
Patients with asthma, chronic inflammatory lung disease, heart disease and previously heart failure cases are likely to be influenced during Diwali.
All health care centers will continue to open 24×7 to treat patients like that earliest, said Yadav.
“Chronic influence of smoke from a deteriorating firecrackers after the smoke is trapped in the atmosphere, because of the winter phenomenon called a thermal invasion.
This involves changes in normal air tendencies to cool when going up at altitude, creating problems in patients who already have respiratory diseases,” Yadav said.
Doctors with private hospitals said most hospitals have handled a surge in respiratory diseases in Diwali for years now.
“We have just faced a pandemic and is equipped to rise to this challenge.
However, people must be careful, continue their preventive therapy and get flu vaccination and pneumonia according to the doctor’s advice,” said Dr.
Manoj Goel, Director, Pulmonology, Fortis Memorial Research Institute .
