Madurai / Tuticorin: The 40-year-old mini bus driver from Vadipatti was arrested by Madurai District Police after he repeatedly raped and absorbed a 17-year-old girl from the same area.
The incident was revealed when the girl’s parents knew she was four months pregnant.
According to the police, the victim was studying class XII at a government school.
During the last three days, the girl complained of stomach pain and refused to go to school.
When his mother asked further, he revealed that he had taken his own pregnancy test and four months pregnant.
Police sources said that the defendant was friends with the girl and talked to him every time he traveled on the bus.
On September 5, he went to his house and raped him saying he wanted to marry him because his wife had left him recently.
The defendant then repeatedly raped him every time he was alone in his house.
Based on the complaint submitted by the girl, the Vadipatti police registered a case under various parts of the protection of children from sexual violations (Pocso) acting and arrest the defendant on Friday.
The girl was temporarily treated in the acceptance unit and arranged to be produced before the Madurai District Child Welfare Committee (CWC) on Monday.
The girl can choose to abort pregnancy if she wants.
In the Tuticorin District, the police have picked up a 21-year-old man because he asked after his 16-year-old wife gave birth to a baby at the Medical Medical Hospital Thootukudi recently.
The incident was revealed when the doctor realized that he was still small when collecting the girl’s detail when he was accepted for delivery.
Lawned by hospital resources, her husband was picked up for questioning.
Preliminary questions revealed that they were married on September 8, 2020.
The case was listed under the Act Pocso section.
Further questions are taking place.
The police said that parents from the duo and others involved in marriage would be questioned before further action.
