Business fake products develop in Delhi

New Delhi: Fake product business from various types of developing in the city, disclosing Delhi police data.
In 2020, only 88 cases of copyright laws and trademarks were reported but more than 110 cases had been reported this year.
Of the 110 cases reported to August this year, 91 was completed.
About 140 people involved in illegal business were arrested.
Last year, 74 cases were completed and 112 causes of Nabbed.
Recently, Delhi police recovered pirated NCERT books worth 35 lakh from print press in Mandoli Village.
One person who was arrested in a case claimed that because of locking, he suffered a big loss in his business.
To cover losses, he began producing and selling fake books on the market.
In Central Delhi, around 25 cases of copyright law and trademarks were registered last year where 38 people were arrested.
As many as 13 cases were reported until August this year and 18 Nabbed people.
An officer said this fake product was sold in small shops, including a grocery store and a garage.
“In some cases, we found that fake lubricating oil was sold to the garage owner with half the rate of original price,” the officer added.
“Selling fake products offers handsome benefits for these people.
Based on credible information, we conduct a raid and seize products,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer) Parvinder Singh.
In Delhi Outer, eight cases were reported this year where seven were solved and 16 people were held.
“They usually set up their manufacturing units in empty godowns in the industrial area,” the officer said.
In July, North Foreign Affairs Police confiscated 2,640 kg of duplicate salt from the factory in Barwala.
In North Delhi, 15 cases were reported this year and 30 people were arrested.
An officer said, in many cases, the defendant used a small arrangement to make fake products.
They generally produce household products such as cream, oil, salt, detergent, and tubes.
