NEW DELHI: AAP functionary Durgesh Pathak has accused BJP-led businesses of performing small trainings prior to monsoon.
He maintained that only 20 percent of desilting work was finished, which could cause waterlogging in town.
“Monsoon is coming in Delhi however BJP’s MCD hasn’t shut drains, which might lead to waterlogging.
If waterlogging occurs in town and somebody dies, then BJP is going to be liable,” said Pathak.
“Last year, a kid died because of waterlogging at the Karol Bagh while some jhuggis were washed off.
In Delhi, approximately 90 percent of drains have been under the authority of this MCD.
Vast majority of these have been in residential locations and also the rationale for repeated waterlogging is these drains aren’t washed,” said Pathak.
North Delhi Municipal Corporation mayor Jai Prakash, nevertheless, claimed that over 99 percent of desilting work was finished in north Delhi regions.
