Ludhiana: Deputy superintendent of police (DSP) Harjinder Singh, who’s admitted to the ICU ward of SPS Hospital, Ludhiana, urged the authorities to rescue his own life on Tuesday.He has delivered a handwritten letter to main ministry Captain Amarinder Singh and recorded a movie, looking for aid.
DSP Harjinder, published in Ludhiana Central Jail, had contracted Covid-19 on April 6.
Though he conquered the virus, then it changed his lungs.
The physicians have advocated a lung transplant.
But for the previous ten weeks, his medical record was moving from 1 desk to another.
Because of delay in his therapy, the DSP was shifted to the ICU ward on Tuesday.
Harjinder told that the TOI,”I’ve got an elderly mother and two young kids to look after.
My health is deteriorating.
Doctors have suggested that a lung transplant when possible.
Because of damage to my lungs, now I’m on oxygen service.
”“The prison section is attempting to assist me.
However, the method is extremely slow.
Should I die, my children are going to get orphans.
The authorities will subsequently offer an ex gratia settlement to your own kids.
With this money, the authorities can host my therapy, that will cost approximately Rs 1 crore, such as the costs of airlifting me out of Ludhiana to external Punjab.
The lung transplant centre is offered in cities such as Mumbai, Chennai and Hyderabad,” he added.
By late night, the directorate of health and family welfare issued a letter into Ludhiana primary medical officer to supply 80 percent funding of the complete quote with immediate impact.
Hardeep Singh, cousin of this DSP, stated,”that the 80% finance is going to be Rs 65 lakh, as a quote of Rs 80 lakh for its transplant has been shipped to the health area.
With inclusion of these airlifting expenditures, the price will cross over Rs 1 crore.
We expect the government takes responsibility for the whole remedy to rescue Harjinder’s life”
By ICU ward, DSP sends CM help plea
