The Xiaomi smartphone brand has announced that it changes branding for its premium device range which includes smartphones and TV.
The company has announced that a series of mi devices will now have a new “Xiaomi” logo, not a ‘mi’ logo.
This is expected to bring together the existence of its global brand and close the perception of the perception between brands with a new logo.
There will be two different product series under the company’s parent brand – Xiaomi and Redmi.
While Redmi branded products will target affordable segments, Xiaomi branded devices will become premium.
Naming Convention – Xiaomi and Redmi – will also be applied in both TV, laptops, and IOT offer.
“As a consumer-centric brand, our focus always has new and innovative technology in all segments that meet developing consumer needs.
We have received a very good response to our premium products starting from consumers and fans of Xiaomi.
According to matches on May 2021, Xiaomi India captures 14% market share in the 20K-45K category.
This empowers us to push the boundaries of technology and further innovation to improve consumer experience, “said Jaskaran Singh Kapanese, Head of Marketing, Xiaomi India.
After saying that, the branding of corporate Xiaomi will continue to be represented by the “MI” logo.
The company earlier this year has introduced several changes to its corporate logo, adopts a softer contour in the corners of the logo that previously squared, along with a redesigned “Mi” typography.
