New Delhi: Edtech Major BYJU on Monday announced the acquisition of severe Learning of Singapore-headquartered in a transaction worth $ 600 million, consisting of cash, stocks and income.
The company has also allocated an additional $ 400 million investment in professional and higher education segments to accelerate great learning growth, said a statement.
“The acquisition marks a strong byju drive into a continuous and lifetime learning room globally with a total commitment of $ 1 billion, expanding its offerings outside the K12 and the exam preparation segment, and increasingly accelerating the company’s growth plan,” he added.
Great learning will continue to operate as an independent unit under the BYJU group under the leadership of its founders and CEO of Mohan Lakhamraju and together, Nair Day and Arjun Nair.
