Hyderabad: With the next Bypoll in the constituency of Huzurabad assembly in Karimnagar Regency, health officials focused on the district to keep the Covid-19 case under the check.
With the basic priority, Covid-19 vaccination will be taken on a larger scale in Huzurabad.
A senior health official team from Hyderabad went to Karimnagar on August 5 and held a meeting with health staff in Karimnagar to contain the spread of the virus.
The team consists of Public Health Director G Srinivas Rao, Director of Medical Education K Ramesh Reddy and officers about special tasks (OSD) in CMO DT Gangadhar.
Gangadhar said that Chairman of the Chandrasekhar Rao’s Chandrasekhar specifically sent a team consisting of senior health officials to Karimnagar considering the increasing case of Covid-19 in the district.
He said that Covid-19 testing would increase.
When contacted, the District Medical and Health Officer (DMHO) Juwaria told TOI that apart from testing, vaccination would also increase.
“It is being carried out at the village level.
In the coming days, depending on the amount of supply and availability of vaccines, this is intended to vaccinate more people,” he said.
So far, in Huzurabad, 50% of people have received their first vaccine dose.
The number of Covid-19 cases for August 5 shows that Karimnagar was in second place in the number of cases that had been detected after the GHMC region.
Of the 582 cases detected, 83 were in Hyderabad and 61 each in Karimnagar and Warangal Urban.
According to DMHO, vaccines are being given at 27 centers at Karimnagar District.
11,233 people were given a vaccine on Thursday and 7,487 Covid-19 tests were carried out.
“Our focus is to contain the spread of Covid-19 and increase vaccination not related to any selection,” Juwaria said.
He showed that it was suggested for people not to gather and take steps to curb the spread of Covid-19.
Senior health officials from Hyderabad who visited Karimnagar suggested district officials who at least 9,000 Covid-19 tests were carried out every day in this district.
The test will be carried out in public places and where there is a meeting of people with a cellular team.
To detect seasonal diseases, the camp will be held at the village level to provide care to patients.
Public Health Director, G Srinivas Rao, officials who are directed at carrying out the main contact of 20 to 25 people if in all cases of Covid-19 are detected and the quarantine of those who test positively.
Officials will focus on villages where more cases are reported.
