Cabbage: empty chairs in college even after 5-6 rounds

Kolkata: Apart from the surge in bachelor’s application this session, the receipt process takes place at a very slow speed.
Some universities have not filled their seats even after finishing fifth, sixth and in some cases, even the seventh round of entry.
While the most expected that university UG colleges and seats will be taken faster considering the higher number of applications this year, in a reverse trend, this year’s acceptance step is slow, say college.
“We hope that the chair will be filled faster than in previous years.
But it’s slower.
On the other hand, many students struggle to get entrance tickets,” said a college professor based in the city.
Some college principals connect this trend to students who apply to several universities.
Students with higher signs repeatedly searching above the list of all colleges, blocking seats, said senior academics.
So, students who have got a low score must wait until some round of the entrance ticket is complete.
Some colleges say they will reintroduce the format of the wish list, take student approval before publishing their names on the Achievement list.
Scottish Church Principal Madhumanjari Mandal Choubory said, “Reception is based on the chair available, but the progress is slow.
We have published a list of wishes to find out how many really want to be accepted.” The college received around 69,000 forms of this year.
Maulana Azad College has reported that around 500 of 1,032 available seats have been filled after seventh round.
Now plan to publish a list of wishes after entering the 15 entrance tickets.
“The same candidate has sent a form for different colleges.
But we must follow the system in accordance with the availability of seats,” said a college official.
Lady Brabourne College Principal Siuli Sarkar said, “All seats have not been filled.
We can only contact students based on the number of seats.
Some appear, others are not.
This is the process we follow until each seat is filled.
It’s slow but the norm.
We can publish the list Desire after September 15, but the process will be based on merit.
“The reporting of the presidency’s wise subject has been completed.
This week, students, who are willing to receive entrance tickets, will be asked to send their costs during the first round of reception.
Seth Anandaram Jaipuria College Principal Ashok Mukhopadhyay said, “About 50% of seats have been filled but the process is slow.”
