Kolkata: The Bengal Cricket Association on Friday decided to introduce a unique biometric code after 65 players from the state identified with disputed documents.
Of the 65 players identified, 45 players have been detained from further participation to resolving disputes, the cabin said in a statement.
“The problem has been referred to Ombudsman and other strict steps are being placed to ensure the system is truly evidence.
The players will be given the opportunity to clarify them before the Ombudsman,” read the statement.
“The cabin also plans to make a unique biometric code for the players.
We have said before that there will be a zero tolerance policy about document fraud.
Another round of the verification process will occur before the start of the following season,” said President Cab Avishek Dalmiya.
Secretary Snehashis Ganguly said, “We will not tolerate disputed documents in any form.
We have arranged detailed steps to bite such an effort to bud.

The stern steps will be taken against those who are found guilty.
“The President further proposed a room for a former Bengal player in the Cabl Clubhouse which was universally accepted.
“The players gave their blood and sweat for Bengal and only the necessity that a room was dedicated to them in Clubhouse,” said Dalmiya.
Rooms for ex-office carriers and reception on the ground floor are also proposed and accepted.
The Apex Board meeting also unanimously received a taxi proposal that all players over the age of 18 must be vaccinated before the start of the season.
The cabin will also supervise the country’s direction to vaccinate them under 18 and hence inoculate the age group Cricketers as and when the process begins.
