Cabinet nodded to improve HRA, DA government employees

Ranchi: The State Cabinet on Tuesday gave his approval to the Ministry of Finance’s proposal to improve home rental allowances (HRA) of government employees in accordance with the recommendations of the seventh payment commission.
New HRA, which will be implemented with a retrospective effect of July 1, 2021, will make employees of state governments entitled to Hras which is 27%, 18% and 9% of their basic salary based on the city category where they posted.
The cabinet also provides a nod to the proposal of other Ministry of Finance to improve employee wealth benefits and retirement holders to 189% of the 164% retrospective that exist from July 1 this year.
In other decisions, the cabinet gave its approval to the Ministry of Health, medical education and family welfare proposal to frame new appointment regulations that would allow state medical colleges to recruit professors and assistant professors on contracts.
At present there are six medical colleges managed by the government in the state.
The Cabinet also provides a nod to the proposal for the Social Welfare Department which will now allow the Centers of WisataWadi to cross the country to present eggs to children six days a week.
The Council of Ministers also gave post-facto approval to Mukhyamantri Vishesh Chatra Vritti Yojana and the proposal of the Ministry of Education in the higher and technical state education to establish the State Open University.
In another decision, the Cabinet agreed to change the rules of the city of Jharkhand which would open the way to calculate annual property taxes based on the circle rate, not the annual rental value.
“Amendments have been proposed in sync with the recommendation of the 15th Finance Commission,” Vandana Dadel’s Cabinet Secretary said.
The Ministers also agreed to the proposal to expand and strengthen 162 km of roads spread across several districts at a cost of Rs 210 Crore.
