Ranchi: The State Cabinet on Tuesday gave his approval to the Ministry of Finance’s proposal to improve home rental allowances (HRA) of government employees in accordance with the recommendations of the seventh payment commission.
New HRA, which will be implemented with a retrospective effect of July 1, 2021, will make employees of state governments entitled to Hras which is 27%, 18% and 9% of their basic salary based on the city category where they posted.
The cabinet also provides a nod to the proposal of other Ministry of Finance to improve employee wealth benefits and retirement holders to 189% of the 164% retrospective that exist from July 1 this year.
In other decisions, the cabinet gave its approval to the Ministry of Health, medical education and family welfare proposal to frame new appointment regulations that would allow state medical colleges to recruit professors and assistant professors on contracts.
