New Delhi: The mutual cooperation between India and Central Asia is very important for regional security and prosperity, PM Modi said while hosting India-Central India summit in virtual format on Thursday.
This region is an Indian vision center about a large environment that is integrated and stable, he said.
The current situation in Afghanistan is increasingly concerned with this cooperation, he added.
“We are all worried about the situation of Afghanistan and this makes cooperation between India and Central Asia, the more important for regional stability and security.” PM Modi also requested to define “ambitious vision” for cooperation between India and Central Asia in the coming years, it would allow to adopt an integrated approach to regional connectivity and cooperation of five presidents from Central Asian countries – Kassim-Jomart Kazakhstan – Kazakhstan Tokayev, Uzbekistan’s Shavkat Mirziyoyov, Emomali Rahmon from Tajikistan, Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Dimuhamedow and Sadyr Japarov from the Kyrgyz Republic – participate in the Summit.
The summit was held a day after day of the Republic who did not see the head of a foreign state or the government as a major guest.
The leaders of five Central Asian countries are likely to be a major guest but countries see the increase in the Covid-19 case which causes a limited republican day celebration.
MEA said, it was a reflection of the involvement of developing countries with Central Asian countries, which was part of India’s “ecstended environment”.
Modi has visited all Central Asian countries in 2015.
Next, there are exchanges at a high level in bilateral and multilateral forums.
