PANAJI: Investigation of the death of a 19-year-old girl, whose body was found on the Calangute beach recently, remained inconclusive because the Goa police could not pull the instructions even after checking the telephone record.
The police have launched an investigation into various angles, including murder, suicide and unintentional death, after general resources.
Sister from the deceased has submitted detailed call records and messages to the police to be investigated.
Based on this, the police had called several people to the Calangute police station for the investigation.
A senior police officer said that even after questioning the people who contacted the girl before his death through calls or messages, they could not draw conclusions.
The police have also checked CCTV footage from the beach huts located near the area where the teenage body was found, but had not found anything useful.
“Investigations are not closed.
We work to remove all family concerns,” police officers said.
Families and teenagers have demanded justice in this case.
His body was found on the morning of August 13 on the Calangute Beach stretch which was busy in semi-naked conditions, with his clothes not visible.
The police have also tried to find his clothes.
Calangute Pi Nolasco Raposo has told the Toi that an autopsy report, conducted at Goa Medical College (GMC), has linked the cause of death to sink.
He put aside sexual violence.
On Saturday, the parents of the teenager had attacked the Goa police, with his father claiming that the police confused him when he was still disturbed after seeing his daughter’s body, and took the “wrong statement” from him.
He also accused the police to spread in the media about his relationship with his daughter.
