Kolkata / Santiniketan: Calcutta HC on Friday directed the police santiniketan to remove the demonstration of the ongoing students outside the official residence of VISVA-Bharati Vice-Chancellor and unlocked the university gate, and also ordered the University’s authority to “recover immediately” normal function .
The court sets a deadline at 16:00 on Friday for officers responsible for PS saniniketan to comply with directives.
Judge Rajasekhar Mantha forbade demonstrations within 50 meters from the residence, classrooms, administrative zones and central libraries, and ordered a ban on loudspeakers on campus.
“This is a student agitation, not a trade union movement,” which was observed HC.
