Kolkata: The Calcutta High Court on Wednesday recognizes the election petition submitted by Mamata Banerjee’s minister’s head challenging the results of the Nandigram 2021 poll.
Justice Shampa Sarkar stated that the petition related to the election was OK.
The court will hear the case on August 12.
The court issued a notification to BJP MLA Suvendu Adhikari, the General Election Commission, the State Election Officer and officers who returned with the direction to keep all records related to the election ended until the court heard this case.
“Let the notice issued.
This problem can be returned on August 12, 2021.
While waiting for the case decision, all documents, selection papers, devices, video recording etc.
connected with the election under the challenge before the court is preserved by the authority concerned,” Sarkar Justice ordered , Justice Sarkar passed the order after Banerjee’s adviser, Soumendra Nath Mookherjee asked the court to give temporary orders for the preservation of the record as the election authority was declared to preserve this for six months after the poll.
CM in his request on June 17 has urged the vote count monitored by the court in the Nandigram assembly chair where the Adhikari Trinamool-Turn-BJP candidate was declared chosen with a margin of around 2,000 votes.
Banerjee made an online appearance at the court on Wednesday obey the order of the Supreme Court which requires the applicant to present the election petition directly.
Justice Sarkar noted that the formality (from the Applicant who appeared) ended when Banerjee appeared before Chanda’s causic justice, who heard the problem before entering himself from this case.
