Kolkata: Some Colleges affiliated with the University of Calcutta has decided to allow freshener to go to campuses from November 16 for offline lessons, but they must follow a strange formula or will attend classes in various shifts.
This institute feels the first semester scholar students need to feel their campus to start their campus life.
But most of these institutions show that in-people though, online lessons will continue.
A day early on Tuesday, most state-run universities in the city – Jadavpur University, Calcutta University and Rabindra Bharati University – said they did not want to call the first years immediately and more precisely, their focus on older batches.
Bethune College is one of the CU Institutes planning to call a refreshment in the first phase.
“We will call the first semester students for physical classes because they want to see college buildings and experience campus atmosphere,” Krishna Roy said, the principal in Bethune.
College will hold an offline class in two shifts, the first of 11:00 to 2pm and the second from 2pm to 4:30 a.m.
While art students will attend classes in the first round and science students will come in the second slot.
Postgraduate students will also attend classes in two shifts for three days a week.
However, online lessons will also continue because the Institute plans to hold a hybrid class until November 26, after that the decision will be taken, based on the situation.
Lady Brabourne College has decided to call the first, third and fifth semester and third and third semester students on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and art students on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
“Online and offline classes will continue in an alternative way.
The teachers will take classes from campuses and students will attend online or offline classes, according to the schedule,” said Siuli Sarkar, Lady Brabourne College Principal.
Astutosh College and New Alipore College will also call the first semester students, but for two days a week.
While they will attend classes on Monday and Thursday, the third semester students will be present on Tuesday and Friday and fifth semester students on Wednesday and Saturday.
Practical classes will be held on new schedules.
Principal of New Alipore College Jaydeep Sarangi said, “Online class and offline will be simultaneously.” Surendranath College has divided the class according to the semester.
First year students will attend physical classes on Friday and Saturday, the fifth semester on Mondays and Tuesdays, and Wednesday and Thursday semesterone third.
Principal Indranil Kar said, “Students will enter the campus through the main gate and the exit will go through another gate to avoid crowding.”
