Call center for more stringent actions to control the spread of covid

New Delhi: raised concerns over certain districts who reported high covid peposititives, the center had called for more stringent actions to control the spread.
Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan has written to eight countries with high levels of peposititives urging them to take urgent action to reduce cases and also share the details of the actions taken in accordance with the disaster management law.
Among countries that have received communication sent by the Ministry of Health are Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Kerala, Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura, Odisha and Sikkim.
These countries have the maximum number of districts with participants above 10%.
“Although the new Covid-19 case trajectory has decreased substantially in this country, there is a need for continuous monitoring of weekly case ranking, and case trajectories in each district to identify the initial warning signal from the spread of infection,” Bhushan said in the letters written for the head of the Secretary of State.
For example, the letter to the Secretary of the Head of Arunachal Pradesh – who has 19 of the 25 districts that reported more than 10% of the positive level – showed concerns that the easternmost state of India reported a weekly front department of 16.2% in a week from June 28-July 4.
The level of participants in the state has increased over the past four weeks, Bhushan said.
The state reported a 12% increase in weekly new cases.
Likewise, Bhushan’s letter to Jishnu Bharua, Head of the Secretary of the Government of Assam, expressed concern that 29 of the 33 districts in the country reported more than 100 new cases in the week ended on July 4 which was emphasized on the need for more stringent detention steps, improve Testing, health infrastructure planning, effective clinical management and vaccination ramp.
