Kochi: Kerala High Court on Tuesday said the request to remove photos of PM Narendra Modi from a vaccination certificate is a dangerous proposal.
Considering the petition submitted by Peter Myaliparbil, Justice N Nagaresh said it was a dangerous proposition and that someone could approach the court looking for the transfer of Mahatma Gandhi’s photo of a currency note because it was their sweat and blood and did not want the face of their national leader currency.
What will happen, the court asked.
Advocate Ajit Joy, representing the applicant, proposed that Mahatma Gandhi portrait printed on currency records according to the Bank of India’s reserve regulation while the prime minister’s photo was not repaired on any vaccination certificate.
When the center looks for time to file a statement that tells their attitude, the court has posted a case to hear on November 23.
Meanwhile, another bench from Kerala HC on Tuesday said the central vaccination scheme had created two citizen classes – those who received Covaxin and those who received covishield.
While the movements of those who accept Covaxin are limited, those who get Covishield can go anywhere, the court commented while considering a request for a man who has taken Covaxin and is now looking for a court referral to utilize the third shot of the vaccine agreed globally so he can go to Arabia Saudi to work.
