It benefited around 92.77 lakh ration card holders consisting of 3.26 lakh people, said memorandum.
This added that for 2021, around 11.35 food grains MT had been allocated for the country for the May-November period, which was only 6.22 lakh MT was chosen.
This concerns noting that the selection of food granules under the PMGKAY and National Food Security Security scheme (NFSA) is under 10% in Kendrapada Regency, Keonjhar, Khurda, Malkangiri, Mayurbhanj, Jharsuguda, Jagatsinghpur, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Bargarh, Angul , Balalasore, Bhadrak, Ganjam and Sundargarh.
Most of these districts are retarded and dominated by tribes, MPS BJP wrote in memorandum.
Responding to BJP’s accusations, a BJD spokesman and members of Rajya Sabha Sasmit Patra said the memorandum proved the ignorance of the BJP parliamentarian members about PMGKAY.
Patra said the allegations were leveled by BJP parliamentarians about irregularities and differences in the implementation of food security schemes was ridiculous and ridiculous.
He said Odisha had performed better in terms of implementing PMGKAY.
