PUNE: State Health Minister Rajesh Tope said on Monday that any further relaxation of timing or capacity for different sectors will be examined in the first week of December.
Tope said that although the daily Covid infection is in the range 800-1000 and active cases is around 15,000 after Diwali, the state government will go slow on further relaxation states for any sector.
“There has been a lot of crowding during the celebrations.
We must keep a close watch on any increase in cases in the cluster, and continue to follow the testing, monitoring, treatment and vaccination policy as it has been before, “said Tope.
He added that after the Dasara and Diwali celebrations, the module will be adopted wait and watch until the end of the month to check if the numbers continue to remain the same.
“We will sit down with the CM for a further review in the coming months just to decide on further relaxation, as long as the case continues to reduce further and there is no sign of the rise everywhere,” he said.
He said it was better not to make any immediate changes in November, after the celebration although sectors such as theaters and auditoriums require 100 percent of the seating capacity and so the locals.
“We will make a review under the CM in the first week (December) to decide on additional changes or relaxation,” he said.
According to the department of public health data, in the last three days of the first week of November, Maharashtra registered triple-digit figures in the positive cases daily, which is a good sign, according to state health experts.
state surveillance expert Dr Pradip Awate said Maharashtra positive rate is below 2%, and the genome sequence done since May has not shown major genetic changes in the virus.
“A close watch is being kept.
If there is no significant change in the virus, there is little chance of a spike.
Therefore, the global picture frame gift that is different from countries like UK, USA, Romania, Germany and China saw another wave.
Thus, there is a need to strictly follow the protocol, “he said.
ten districts show a case of one digit, while 10 others indicate cases of positive double-digit levels in the country weekly under 2%.
Maharashtra task force Covid Dr.
Rahul Pandit has suggested a cautious approach to any further relaxation, because a large crowd witnessed the Diwali celebrations.
He said, “We must keep a close watch variant or a surge of cases in each cluster in the next two weeks.”
