Mumbai: Path has been paved for establishing the first international international education council school in India and South Asia in Mumbai.
Pilot Cambridge Cambridge Municipal School, which will offer pre-primary to class VI, will begin in the academic year 2022-23.
The school location is being completed.
With this, BMC is the only municipality in this country to offer a choice of various educational boards to students.
A CBSE and Civil School ICSE under the Mumbai Public School (MPS) banner came true at 2020-21.
This year, 10 other civilians turned into CBSE.
Minister of Environment Aaditya Thackeray, the idea behind the MPS initiative, on Wednesday held a meeting with Cambridge Citizenship and Council officials to continue with the first Cicic Cambridge community.
Thackeray, who has studied at ICSE school, said, “Every child, outside the capacity or economic background, must have access to world-class education in all city schools and to finance education.” Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, MPS schools attracted parents who lost their jobs and faced the financial crisis.
Although MPS schools, such as all other educational institutions, teaches in online mode, parents are happy with the quality of teachers and education.
For Cambridge school, Civic teacher training has begun and the receipt process will begin early next year.
Commissioner of the City with BMC (Education) Ajit Kumbhar said that the location of the school, including infrastructure, was being resolved.
BMC, he said, is committed to changing perceptions of civil schools.
“While we see different educational boards, the Civic School School also gets a facelift,” Kumbhar added.
There are 1,200 civilians in the city.
Mahesh Srivastava, regional director, South Asia, Cambridge International said the idea was to offer world-class international education to children from the insufficient part of society.
“Cambridge’s school adjusts curriculum for culture, ethos and student needs,” said Srivastava.
There are more than 110 private Cambridge affiliated schools in Mumbai.
Francis Joseph’s education, who coordinated with the Cambridge Council to establish a Civic community school, said the plan was also developing to improve state civil schools, including vernacular media.
