Jaipur: Political Development in Punjab which leads to the replacement of Amarinder Singh with Charanjit Singh Channi as the new main minister on Monday, has revived hopes at the Rajasthan Congress – now looking forward to the reshuffle in the party state unit.
Sources at Congress Rajasthan said many now believe that CM Ashok Gehlot might no longer delay accommodating rival factions, especially led by former Deputy Pilot Sachin, in the state government.
Party workers feel changes can occur after two weeks “Pitru Pakha” – considered unfavorable for any new initiative – which starts from Monday.
The demand for expansion and cabinet reshuffle, the designation of politics in the Commission and the Board and Reconstruction of the Rajasthan congress unit has been delayed since July-August last year when the pilot and 18 loyalty legislators rebelled against the leadership of Gehlot.
The day before the political maneuver peaked at Amarinder Singh resigned as Punjab CM, AICC Secretary General was responsible for Rajasthan, Ajay Maken and pilots separately held a discussion with the leader of the Rahul Gandhi Congress in New Delhi.
Maken, who played a key role in changing guards in Punjab, was part of the AICC committee in charge of considering the demands of the pilot faction.
In running to developments in Punjab, Maken tells the media that changes in the cabinet in Rajasthan will occur now but for the health of Gehlot who are sick.
“Through Punjab, the Congress’s high command has said that it can act hard even against the top leaders to test their own lines,” said PCC office carrier.
MLA VED Prakash Solanki, who rebelled along with the pilot last year, told TII, “The central leadership Congress now works with full force.
We are sure to be a revamp soon here so we beat BJP in the next election.”
