NEW DELHI: 56 shanties at a Rohingya refugee camp had been burnt to ash from northeast Delhi’s Madanpur Khadar on Saturday night.
Though nobody has been hurt, the community members have been ruined and staring in an unclear future.
Mohd Salim, that, together with his spouse and two kids, had returned from Myanmar to India at 2013 to get a much better future, has lost all trust.
“I dropped my home and store if a fire broke out in the other place in 2018.
It took a few months to install another store and house, but is gone today.
I really don’t understand exactly what to do and where to go,” said Salim.
Community members stated each of shanties were while some part of a mosque was affected.
R Meena, DCP (southeast), stated,”The fire has been brought under control with the support of beat personnel and disaster management groups.
