A day following AICC general secretary H Patil said that it was early for Congress to have a decision on approaching elections, say Congress president Nana Patole revealed that the Congress would rival that the 2024 Lok Sabha and assembly elections by itself.
In a interview to TOI, Patole talked on his suggestion, about just what the stand of this Congress will be in case Shiv Sena combine hands with the BJP and also on Sharad Pawar’s movement to produce a third entrance.
Excerpts:Q: For quite a while, you’ve been stating Congress will proceed solo at the Lok Sabha and assembly electionsbut AICC secretary H K Patil has distanced himself out of the own stand.
A: Since the head of this state unit, I’ve to take all probable measures to enlarge my celebration and make sure it reaches the grassroots level.

Q: What could happen if Sena joins hands with BJP and forms the authorities? A: Considering that the conditions where the MVA administration was formed, I don’t believe the CM will consent with such a proposition.
But if Sena requires this measure, Congress won’t be a part of the government.
Then we’ll need to take an unaffiliated call.
Q: State NCP President Jayant Patil has spoken about the possibility of an NCP-Sena alliance to the LS and gathering elelctions…
A: Just wait until the 2024 LS and gathering polls? They ought to join hands today.
Each political party has the right to take actions for its growth.
If NCP believes it will have a bright future when it combines hands with Shiv Sena, then my very best wishes .
