“While the spotlight in India, Pakistan, England and Australia throughout the tournament there was a little sound inside my head said: ‘Wait, don’t forget about New Zealand’,” Morkel wrote in the ICC column.
“They are the current world test champions, which are played in the last 50 World Cup finals and their white cricket has been extraordinary over the past few years.
They are a smart and organized road and have inspirational leaders in Kane Williamson,” he added.

“New Zealand will not object to who they play in the final.
They have overcome big obstacles and gets one in England which shows that they can handle hot when there,” said Morkel.
