NEW DELHI: Following the continuing talks on the production of Theatre Commands, the Indian Air Force on Monday stated official deliberations about the matter continue to be on and refused to comment on media reports indicating that the IAF had been opposing the movement ahead of the Army and Navy were encouraging it.
“Official deliberations regarding theater controls are continuing.
IAF won’t comment on media posts on the topic,” an IAF spokesperson said when asked whether it would love to comment on the media reports in this respect.
The IAF has been requested to comment on the media reports indicating the Air Force has been not the only power opposing the creation of the theatre controls in the current form.
The reports came shortly after the defence ministry has been provided a demonstration of this Draft Cabinet Notice on the theatre controls where the very best defence functionaries raised concerns within the planned arrangement and voiced the need for further talks on the matter.
