NEW DELHI: The fundamental authorities on Sunday filed an affidavit before the Supreme Court after reacting to petitions hunting ex-gratia and reimbursement of Rs 4 lakhs to relatives of deceased who perished because of Covid-19.
The Centre informed that the best court it wouldn’t have the ability to provide Rs lakh compensation to kin of every individual who perished of Covid below the Disaster Management Act.
The authorities, however, made clear it had made payments along with a great deal of govt steps were released to the destitute persons.
The authorities in the affidavit filed at the Supreme Court stated that Union and state governments have invested enormous amounts of cash for needy people to fight pandemic raging for more than a year and their funds have been overstretched.
