Patna: The Patna High Court on Tuesday asked the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) to consider the suggestion for making Patna-Style-Dobhi NH-83 project six lanes, not four lines.
Hearing the Batch of Pils, institutionalized Suo Motu to monitor and accelerate the National Highway (NH) projects in the state, the Division of the Patna High Court Division from Chief Justice Sanjay Karol and Judicial asked Nhai officials to visit the whole stretch of 127km Patna – Dobhi NH To learn financial feasibility and cut escalation of future costs.
NHAI has been asked to submit a report of his feasibility to court in three weeks.
The court also directed the State Development Commissioner to terminate the deadlock for the construction of a new bridge in Natthupur.

It also asked NHAI to provide status reports regarding the utilization of RS10.46 Crore provided for afforestation work on both sides of the NH by making a double plantation instead of 8,340 trees, which will be cut down to widen from the expanse of the highway.
