Mumbai: The Bombay High Court on Wednesday directed the Maharashtra government to inform whether the general question papers can be arranged in the SSC syllabus, ICSE, CBSE and IGCSE boards for optional public entry tests (CET) for acceptance to Junior Colleges.
Bangku Hakes Ramesh Dhanuka and Riyaz Chagla asked whether a committee could be formed from the Board, which was a party for a petition, “to prepare a comm-on paper that will include questions related to the subject that is passed through” Th-EA boards.
It also asks the state to consider “whether students can be given the option to answer questions according to the subject chosen by them in the class 10 exam.” These suggestions were carried out on the petition by ICSE students Patki challenged CET optionally based on SSC syllabus.
On July 22, the country is directed at informing whether there can be a separate syllabus for CBSE students and ICSE who want to choose CET.
Also if it cannot be done, “Is the condition to give priority only to students who appear for CET can be withdrawn by or not.” The state is permitted to place registration data for CET to be held on August 21.

He said that he could not take instructions about HC suggestions for separate syllables or placing data from the number of applications received.
That’s when the judges asked whether “it was possible to sit” with CBSE and ICSE boards “to do public syllabus”.
Kanharia said it “might be rather difficult”.
“Maybe it is impossible because the SSC board will not be able to explore this board for general questions,” he added.
The judges say their advice is for general question papers for all boards so students have the option to answer questions.
“All will be treated equivalent,” said Judge Dhanka.
But Kantharia continues to say it is difficult to assign a general paper.
“If there is no reasonable solution, then we will find a solution.
If there is an attempt to eliminate students from other councils, we will not let it,” said Justice Dhuka.
At application intervention, HC directs the IGCSE board to be added as a party.
Posting problems on August 4, they say “students who have passed class X from other boards may apply to registration without reducing their rights and satisfaction”.
