Canacona MLA: More than 500 Bhumiputras will benefit

POINGUINIM: More than 500 houses tend to be destroyed in the area of ​​land and comunidade forests in Canacona will definitely benefit from Bhumiputra Adhikarini’s bill which was recently authorized in the state legislature, said the representative of the speaker and Canacona Mla Isidore Fernandes on Thursday.
He spoke after Sarpanch and residents of various Panchayat regions and Canaca City Council Taluka filed a memorandum to him demanding that the word ‘Bhumiputra’ was removed from the bill.
Vice speaker told reporters that the Goan who had built a house in Devalaya Land, the Tanah Comunidade or in the forest area for the past 40 years will now be protected by law because many of these houses are faced with demolition.
“There will be more than 500 residences that most belong to Goans.
However, I cannot deny the possibility of some other people also benefit from the bill,” he said.
Panchayat who has supported the bill includes Agonda, Loliem-Polem, Gaurongorim, Thlisthal and Cotigao.
When Fernandes was asked why the insufficient time was given to the legislators before the bill was passed at home, he said that even though he realized the bill was presented, the opposition chose to come out, so it led to the bill that was passed without discussion.
